Family Photos At Last!

One of the best things about July was being together and finally getting a family photo taken! With Dillon away in Africa for the past two years, we were happy to finally all be together and have these photos taken. They turned out great! We were together for the 4th of July weekend in Provo, Utah.
Tyler, Juliana, Addy and Mckenzie joined us from Castle Rock, Colorado!
Nathan, Lindsay, Beckett and Wil joined us from LA, California!
We converged on Brenan, Beth and McKay's home there!
Having all our children and grand children together was a dream come true.
We are so happy with this sweet family!
What fun to have time to get to know all these sweet little ones! Beckett, Mckenzie, Wil, McKay and Addelyn.
Beckett, 2 1/2 years old.
Addy, just about 2 years old.
Mckenzie, 3 mons old.
Wil, 2 mons old.
McKay, 1 1/2 mons old.
These last three babies were born within 2 months of each other. What fun for cousins.

Fourth of July In Utah!

It was so much fun to be in the USA for the 4th! It's been a long time! We were so blessed to have our entire family together to celebrate Dillon's return, Independence Day and McKay's Blessing at church. Tyler and his family flew over from Denver and Lindsay and her family flew in from LA. We spread blankets out on a lawn on the BYU campus where we enjoyed a picnic supper and then watched some great fire works over their big stadium. It was so awesome!
Don really is happy to be here, but he was caught off guard!
Mckenzie, Tyler, Juliana, and Addy....true American spirit and colors!
Nathan and Beckett talking to Auntie Beth. Addy and Juliana are right behind Beth.
Dillon, feeling overwhelmed with his return to reality. Just kidding, he was doing great here!
Nathan and Beckett having fun together.
Brenan and Beth, and little McKay having some snacks! Sorry you can't see him!
My sweet daughters...it was so fun to be together!

Welcome Home, Elder Hall!

At the end of June, we welcomed Dillon home from Kenya, Africa, after serving those good people for two years. It was so great to see him come through the Customs door at the Calgary Airport. I've had a hard time uploading these photos, and they look hodge podge, but you can see a couple of the signs we had up, and the Kenyan flag on top of the mill with a huge yellow ribbon Don made to welcome him home since it was at night. It was lit up on top there! The last photo is of the Sunday after his return after he reported his mission at church. We had a nice family dinner in our yard and he shared a little about his time in Africa. It was so special. I love having him home! Here he is arriving!
He couldn't miss us with these fun balloons!

Don up on the mill auger attaching the Kenyan flag and a huge yellow bow ribbon that lit up at night!

This mom was so excited to have her boy home.

Signs on the garage door, welcoming him. Don created the poem!

Dillon speaking to the crowd who came to support him and to have a delicious meal. It was a beautiful day!

Welcome Little McKay!

Here are a couple photos of our newest grandchild. We are so happy to have him here safe and sound. All are doing well, and I feel so blessed to be here to help out. McKay Brenan Klain was born on May 21, 2009 at 2:47 pm and weighed 8.5 and measured 21 inches. You can see that he was blessed with some hair! He looks a lot like his dad. They are home and doing so well. Beth and Brenan are so happy to have him here!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

Here is our newest addition to the family! William Brooks Roberts was born at 11:52 am on Friday, May 8th! He and his mom and dad arrived home on Saturday late afternoon just before Beckett woke from his nap. What a sweet blessing to have him here safely and doing so well. He will be called Wil! Oh, how I wish I could go hold him and kiss those cheeks. What a happy Mother's Day it is today. We are just waiting for Dillon's call.

More Snow Pics!

I had to post a few more photos of the snow in our yard from earlier this week. For some reason, I was having trouble getting them to upload the other day, so I was happy with the one I did get on here. However, today I thought I'd try again so you could see! This is the back side of the house, west looking south. You can see that the lower level is completely full of snow, and only a tiny bit of the wall shows.
The cats have taken to sleeping in the playhouse, but there was too much snow for them to get up there!
Another shot of the south east corner.
This big old tree is leaning south with the weight of the snow. It doesn't normally lean like this.
A view of the BBQ out the sliding glass door! There was 6-8 feet of snow piled high!
The BBQ from out the kitchen window!
Don, heading down to get the tractor to start plowing us out, so I could get to school in the morning
Our south deck and patio table, which looked like a huge cake! I guess we'll just have to wait a little longer for our first picnic on the patio. Hmmm!

Another Snow Day!

As you can see, we got a whole bunch more snow last night and today! School was cancelled again and I got lots done here today! I trudged through knee-deep snow to get outside to take this shot of the south deck. The pile of snow on the BBQ was so high and the trees are really leaning over with the weight of the snow! It was crazy. Don spent over an hour plowing out the driveway so I can get to school in the morning. We'll see!
