Autumn Blessings (Nine New Posts!)

Last spring I posted a photo of our crab tree in full bloom. Now we have little red crab apples dotting the tree and on the ground. They are too sour to eat, but we tasted them anyway!
Our newest flowering crab in the colors I bought it for. It will be dramatic when it gets larger!
A project Don finished this summer when he re-sodded and put new railroad ties in as the border.
As you can see from all of my recent posts, I have many blessings to be thankful for.
This autumn has been outstandingly warm. I have no complaints!

A September Project...

Although September is my busiest month of the year, I committed to make this baby quilt for a friend of mine. It was fun to make.

A Little Farm Help

Before school started, I helped Don gather the hay bales and stack them in two different fields. I got pretty good at driving the truck and flat deck loaded with 8 huge bales through bumpy fields! This photo shows our farm in the back ground.
This is the stack up at our land in Beazer.

Off to California...

Just before school started I headed down to LA to help my parents do a little dejunking and cleaning of their home of many years in anticipation of selling it to Dan and Paula. It was a busy week, but fun to be able to help them out with this task.
Breakfast at Joe's one morning before I left.

One Summer Project

I finally made a new small quilt to hang on my table-top hanger.
I just love these tiny quilts.

A View of My Garden

I chose some unique colored flowers this year.
My climbing clematis has reached new heights!
This planter sits at the base of the deck where the hot tub sits.
One rock garden in front of the house with two hanging planters.
My back yard rock garden. The perennials are getting bigger each year.
My zucchini plants grew nicely in these planters.
I love color!

Summer Fun with the Klains

The Klains arrived to spend a couple of weeks at the end
of the summer and to see Wil and Beckett before they went
back to Sydney. These two year olds were a crack up!
Beth, Brenan, and Lindsay surprised us with a wonderful
anniversary BBQ the day after they arrived.
Beautiful Evalyn with her Shosho!
Babu singing to Wil
Family Photos
My favorite thing to do, read to my grand children!
Our Heritage Days parade.
Don got summoned to get on the reunion float, so off he went.
The kids all had fun collecting candy in the street.
Lindsay and the boys. What a beautiful day!
I know these photos should have been on the last post,
but this is where they ended up.
What a cheeser!
Such a happy B-boy!
Mr. McKay
The 3 Boys
Evalyn loved her Jolly Jumper every day. What a doll!

Summer Fun with the Roberts

Nathan, Lindsay, Beckett and Wil joined us on the farm.
The boys had so much fun with Addy and Mckenzie!
Our new little part-siamese kittens brought a lot of laughs!
A horse ride up at Alpine Stables in Waterton was a joy to watch!
Nathan and gang had fun shooting gophers...
...and at clay pigeons flung from our new skeet shooter.
After a week, Nathan headed back to Sydney, while Lindsay flew down
to SLC to meet Evalyn. We kept the boys and had a great few days
alone. Babu was great to give rides on the big, green tractor
while he was out cutting or baling hay.
Shosho had fun driving the quad whenever they wanted to cruise,
or when we went to the field to check on Bubu
or to go for a ride in the tractor.
The new little tent was set up in our living room for fun and games,
any time of day. It was a riot to watch them run full tilt into the
tent and just miss the top of the opening!
Feeding Jack was a highlight, especially when Babu would set the boys up on his back.
Cruising in the hay fields.
Waiting for Mom to return from her trip away.
Lots of creative fun building with Duplo blocks.
Going for a walk, down to see Jack and give him some tasty oats.
Time for 'crafting'. Beckett loves to create things, so he is painting a wooden snake.
Toward the end of their stay, Brenan, Beth, McKay and Evalyn came for
their visit. The boys played hard together and had a great time,
although two were two, and they stole each other's toys all the time,
saying, "Mine!" "No, mine!" It was pretty hilarious!

Summer Fun with the Halls!

In July, we enjoyed a visit from Tyler, Juliana, Addy and Mckenzie. They brought Dillon with them since he was working with Ty for the summer. It had been 5 months since we had seen the girls, so it was fun playing together on the warm, sunny days. The girls loved filling their watering cans and watering everything.
Oh, what beautiful girls ~ Addy and Mckenzie!

Tyler loved getting back on the tractor and helping bale the hay!
Waterton was beautiful and we had fun throwing rocks in the lake!
